picture frames pair antique carved wood painted with green floral prints
This is a pair of old wooden carved picture frames that have been painted ivory or cream and the carving is highlighted with a dull gold color. Very romantic French country style. The prints are muted greens and cream colors and are lillies or ground orchids. They are covered with glass. A look at the picture of the backs of the frames shows that both are secured with nails one has an original (or at least old) thin piece of wood and the other has been replaced with cardboard.
I am assuming the carved areas on the sides, top and bottom and around the interior are made of gesso – which is a kind of plaster. Therefore it will most likely be impossible to strip the paint without destroying the carvings.
Hard to take pictures of glass covered items… I try to take better pictures and add them (to listing) when/if possible.
Great Southwest or Mexican style glazed hand thrown clay lamp. Shades of brown, tan, orange, yellow, cream is a beautiful striped pattern. Lamp is huge and makes a real statement. Sale does not include shade, hasp or finial.
Great pair of mid-century modern lamps. Wood (teak or walnut) with metal base. Three way switch, but lamp does not have three way bulbs. Includes hasps and finials. The sale does not include shades or bulbs.
Aladdin alacite molded glass table lamp with finial.
Made in USA. I believe this is the oak leaf design from the 1940s. The lamp is small and lights at the top or at the bottom or both at the same time. Creates warm glow in room. This lamp has the original cloth wiring and may need to be rewired for safety. The glass is in perfect condition, the metal parts, such as the hasp have some pitting and would probably look better with polishing but are covered when shade is added. There is no shade included with sale.
